Collecting Garden Tomatoes

My kids just finished harvesting these tomatoes from our winter garden.  Our next project will be making marinara sauce.  I like to make a large batch and then put in freezer bags for pizza and pasta dishes.  You can try this recipe for marinara sauce.

Thanksgiving Outdoors

For Thanksgiving this year we celebrated our meal outdoors.

Try a combination of rustic and fancy.  I paired the china my mother bought for me with bamboo salad plates.  The formal white table cloth, coffee bean sack, fall produce and mecury glass candlesticks also add interest to the table.
