This was once was a boring brown bathroom. There was an undersized sink with a boring mirror glued to the wall.

I loved the clean look of this bathroom. The medicine cabinet was

$17 clearance item from Target. We made the towel holder, added new trim and even made our own vent cover.

I have a file of pictures of homes that I absolutely love. This perfectly restored home is one of those homes. I spotted it off the main road in charming Cedarburg, WI after their annual Strawberry Days Festival.

How do you make a builder's home seem more like an old home?

-First eliminate a few of the beige walls.

-Add detail with shelving.

-Use texture with beadboard or additional trim
